Is There a WAMR or Notisave for iPhone?
Short answer: no. WAMR and Notisave are Android apps: they read notifications using a permission iPhone doesn’t have, and APK files don’t install on iPhone. Starting with iOS 27, the Shortcuts app has an automation that passes each notification to an app, and apps like NotiKeep use it to save message text on iPhone, including messages that are later deleted.
Why WAMR isn’t available for iPhone
WAMR and Notisave work on Android because Android lets an app read the phone’s notifications, with a permission the user grants. Every incoming message becomes a copy inside the app. iPhone never had that permission: up to iOS 26, no iPhone app could read another app’s notifications.
There’s an app on the App Store called “Notisave: History Log,” from a different developer. Its page requires iOS 16 and doesn’t mention the Shortcuts automation, which is the only way an iPhone app can receive notifications from other apps.
Beware of “WAMR for iPhone” and APK downloads
APK is Android’s install format and doesn’t install on iPhone. Sites offering a “WAMR iPhone download” or a “WAMR APK for iPhone” don’t deliver a working app and may ask for your data or install configuration profiles. On iPhone, only install apps from the App Store.
What works on iPhone starting with iOS 27
iOS 27 added the Notification automation to Shortcuts, which passes each notification to an app the moment it arrives. With it came apps that do on iPhone what WAMR does on Android: save the text of notifications, including messages that are later deleted. All of them require iOS 27 or later and only save what arrives after setup.
| App | Languages | Organization | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| NotiKeep | English, Portuguese, and Spanish | By app and by conversation, including groups. Search, manual labels, Face ID, and JSON export (CSV and PDF with Pro). | Free download with one app unlocked. Pro is a monthly or yearly subscription. |
| Notification History Archive | English | By app, with app and date filters. Exports to JSON and CSV with the subscription. | Free for the last 5 hours. Subscription or one-time purchase for the full history. |
| Renotify | English and Korean | Daily timeline, with app and date filters. | Free. |
All three use the same iOS 27 feature, so they receive the same text from each notification. The differences are organization, language, and price.
WAMR vs. NotiKeep: what’s different
- Setup: on Android, you grant notification access. With NotiKeep, you import a shortcut and turn on the automation in the Shortcuts app, just once.
- Photos and audio: WAMR tries to save media on Android. On iPhone, iOS only passes along the notification text, so photos, videos, and audio aren’t saved.
- Deleted messages: in both, the text that arrived in the notification stays saved. NotiKeep also lets you mark the message as deleted while keeping the original text.
- Privacy: NotiKeep has no ads, no account, and no message server. Notifications stay on the iPhone.
Only works on iOS 27 or later. On iPhone 11 and iPhone SE (2nd generation) or newer, update in Settings › General › Software Update. iPhone XR, XS, and earlier can’t get iOS 27. See the list of models.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a WAMR for iPhone?
No. WAMR only exists for Android. There’s no official iPhone version, and it isn’t on the App Store.
Can I install the WAMR APK on iPhone?
No. APK is the Android app format and doesn’t install on iPhone. Be wary of sites offering that download.
What app can I use instead of WAMR on iPhone?
An app that uses the iOS 27 Notification automation, such as NotiKeep. It saves the text of WhatsApp and other app notifications, by conversation, starting from setup.
Can NotiKeep recover old deleted messages, as WAMR promises?
No. Neither one recovers what arrived before it was installed. Both save the notifications that arrive afterward, and the text stays saved if the message is deleted.
Does it work on iPhone 11, 13, or 15?
It works on any iPhone running iOS 27 or later. What matters is the iOS version, not the model: iOS 27 runs on iPhone 11 and later and on iPhone SE (2nd generation) or newer. iPhone XR, XS, and earlier can’t get iOS 27, so they can’t run NotiKeep.
